Adding a logo to your code

A bare QR code, with no branding at all, says nothing about who you are. You want to drop your logo at the center, but you're afraid it'll make it unreadable.

The answer

From the code's design, upload a PNG or JPG file in the Logo field. Scanolo automatically switches error correction to the highest level, H, to make up for the surface covered by the logo, and you can adjust its size between 12% and 30% of the code's width.

  1. Open "QR code design" on the code's page.
  2. In the Logo block, upload a PNG or JPG file.
  3. Adjust the logo size, between 12% and 30% of the width.
  4. Turn on the white background behind the logo if needed.
  5. Click "Save" and check the preview.

Accepted formats and size

Only PNG and JPG files are accepted. You then choose the logo's size, between 12% and 30% of the code's total width: beyond 30%, even the highest error correction can't guarantee reliable reading anymore, which is why the option is capped. You can also turn on a white background behind the logo so it stands out, handy if your logo has transparent or bright colors.

Reusing a logo you already uploaded

Once a logo has been uploaded for one code, you can reuse it on another code through the "Or pick a logo you already uploaded" menu, without uploading it again. That avoids piling up duplicate files and keeps your codes visually consistent.
