Creating a menu page

You want to replace your worn-out paper menus with an up-to-date menu, reachable by scanning a code on the table, without reprinting every time the card or a price changes.

The answer

The Restaurant menu type creates a dedicated page with your sections (starters, mains, desserts), your dishes with description and price, and allergen tags. Since the code is dynamic, you can edit the card at any time from your dashboard, without touching the QR code already printed on your tables.

Step by step

  1. Create a code of type "Restaurant menu".
  2. Click "Add a section" and name it (for example Starters).
  3. Click "Add a dish" for each dish: name, description, price.
  4. Check the relevant allergen tags on each dish.
  5. Check "Unavailable" on a sold-out dish instead of deleting it.

Building your sections and dishes

Add a section with "Add a section", name it (for example Starters), then add dishes one by one with "Add a dish": name, short description, price. Currency and a header accent color can also be set. You can check allergen or diet tags on each dish: vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, dairy-free, contains nuts, spicy.

A sold-out dish doesn't need to be deleted: check "Unavailable" to show it crossed out on the page until you restock it, instead of rebuilding the whole section.

What your customer sees

After scanning, the customer lands on a page listing your sections at the top for direct navigation, followed by each dish with its price and allergens. It displays correctly on mobile without zooming, which matters more to the final experience than the QR code's own design.

Frequently asked questions

Can I change prices without reprinting the code on my tables?

Yes, that's the whole point of dynamic mode: the QR code on the table never changes, only its content is updated from your dashboard.

Can I offer the menu in several languages?

The menu's languages field lets you list the languages available for your customers. Prepare a section or descriptions in each targeted language accordingly.
