The other destination pages

Beyond a simple redirect to a website, you're torn between several page types that look somewhat alike: contact card, link page, document, wifi. You want to know which one actually fits your need.

The answer

Business card opens a contact sheet with an "Add to contacts" button that saves it straight to the phone. Link list groups several links on a single page, handy as a social media bio link. PDF shows a document viewable online with a download button. Wifi connects to the network without the person having to type the password.

Step by step

  1. Pick the type closest to your need on the creation screen.
  2. For a business card, fill in first name, last name, phones, emails and social links.
  3. For a link list, click "Add a link" for each destination.
  4. For a PDF, upload the file in the dedicated field.
  5. For wifi, enter the network name, password and security type.

Business card

Fill in first name, last name, company, job title, one or more phones and emails, your website, your address and your social links, plus a photo if you want. The person scanning sees your sheet and can add it to their contacts in one move with the "Add to contacts" button, with every field already filled in instead of typed by hand.

Link list

Give it a title, a short bio, and add your links one by one with "Add a link": social profiles, website, online shop. It's the equivalent of a bio link page, but one you run yourself and can update at any time.

PDF and wifi

For a PDF, upload the file: it always stays dynamic, it can't be made static since the document is hosted by Scanolo. The page shows a viewer and a "Download PDF" button.

For wifi, enter the network name, password and security type. In dynamic mode, the page shows a one-click copyable password alongside a direct-connect QR code; in static mode, only the connect QR code exists, with no page.

Frequently asked questions

Does the "Add to contacts" button work on every phone?

Yes, it downloads a standard vCard file, recognized by iPhone and Android contact apps.

Can I swap the PDF for a different file later?

Yes, go back to editing the code and upload a new file: a message warns you that a document is already attached and will be replaced.
