Scanolo, an alternative to Flowcode
Flowcode is a polished American product built for large brands, and it does very well what it was designed for. Two points deserve a careful read before you enter a card: the price shown on the pricing page, which assumes a one-year commitment, and what the terms of use plan for your codes the day you stop paying.
Information gathered from publishers' public sites on 23 September 2026. Competitor prices and features can change; let us know about any error.
| Criterion | Flowcode | Scanolo |
|---|---|---|
| Free plan | 2 Flowcodes, analytics up to 500 scans, ad free (pricing page, checked September 2026) | 3 dynamic codes, unlimited scans, 30 days of statistics |
| Headline entry price | $25 per month, with “billed annually” printed under the figure, so $300 paid up front | €7 excl. VAT per month, billed monthly |
| Monthly price with no commitment | Not publicly documented, the pricing page does not show it | €7 excl. VAT, the price shown is the price you pay |
| Next tier | Growth at $250, marked “Annual only” | Pro €19 excl. VAT, Business €49 excl. VAT, monthly or yearly |
| Codes beyond the free quota after cancellation | The terms of use announce archiving and a redirect to flowcode.com or another location of the publisher's choosing; the help centre writes that codes keep scanning | Redirection kept to your last destination, with no commercial exception |
| Renewal and refunds | Automatic renewal, payments non-refundable unless the law requires otherwise | Monthly with no commitment, cancellation from the account at the end of the paid period |
| Governing law and data | State of New York, courts of New York County; server location not publicly documented | French law, servers in the European Union |
The headline price assumes a year
On the pricing page, the Pro Plus plan shows $25 per month. The line right underneath reads “billed annually”. So you pay $300 in one go, for twelve months. The tier above, Growth, shows $250 with the words “Annual only”, unambiguous this time.
The rate for a monthly subscription with no commitment appears nowhere on that page. Third-party comparison sites put it around $60 a month, but the publisher does not publish it, so we record it as not publicly documented rather than assert it. At Scanolo, €7 excl. VAT is the price of one month, paid by the month, and a year costs ten months.
What happens to a printed code
Two public Flowcode texts tell different stories. The terms of use state that on cancellation you drop back to the free plan, and that codes beyond the quota are archived then redirected to flowcode.com or another location chosen by the publisher, with no analytics. The help centre, meanwhile, writes that you keep access to your two most recent codes and that all the others keep scanning through to their original destination.
On a sticker already fixed to a shop window, the gap between those two versions separates a customer who reaches you from a customer who reaches your former provider's website. Scanolo has one rule, written into its terms: a dynamic code keeps redirecting to its last destination whatever the plan, including after cancellation.
What Flowcode does well
The product looks good, the design studio is well above the sector average, and the attribution features genuinely help teams that spend on campaigns. CRM integrations, routing by day, device or location, custom redirect domains, SOC 2 compliance. If you run national campaigns with a marketing team, Flowcode covers needs that Scanolo does not claim to cover.
Its free plan is ad free too, and the comparison table on the pricing page promises “always scan” across all three tiers. For a restaurant, a tradesperson or a local association, what remains is the entry price and the yearly commitment.
