Deleting your account
You want to stop using Scanolo and make sure your data doesn't linger on our servers indefinitely, but you're worried about a deletion that's too fast or irreversible by mistake.
The answer
From settings, the deletion request sends a confirmation email, then schedules permanent deletion seven days later. You can cancel simply by logging back in before that deadline: the request is then dropped automatically.
Step by step
- Open settings, the "Delete my account" page.
- Enter your password and click "Send confirmation email".
- Confirm through the link you receive by email.
- Log back in within seven days if you change your mind: the request will be cancelled automatically.
What happens during the seven days
After entering your password and confirming through the email you received, your account stays fully usable for seven days: your codes keep redirecting, your statistics stay available. Just log back in during that window to cancel the request, no other step needed.
What gets deleted at the deadline
Past the seven days, deletion is final: your scans are deleted, your uploaded files (logos, PDFs, images) are removed, and your codes are anonymized. This delay isn't negotiable afterward: no recovery is possible once deletion has taken effect.
Before you confirm
If you want to keep a record of your codes and their destinations, write them down or download their artwork before starting the deletion request: once the deadline passes, that information is no longer accessible.
Frequently asked questions
Can I delete a single code instead of my whole account?
Yes, deleting an individual code happens from its page, independently of deleting your account, and it's immediate and final.
If my workspace has several members, does deleting my account delete the whole workspace?
No, deleting your personal account doesn't delete a shared workspace if it has other active members. Contact support to fully delete a team workspace.
