Reading your scan statistics
You see a scan count on your dashboard, but you're not exactly sure what it counts, or how long you'll be able to see the history.
The answer
Statistics count total scans and unique visitors per day, with a breakdown by country and device type. How long the history is kept depends on your plan: 30 days on the free plan, up to 5 years on Business.
Step by step
- Open a code's page to see its individual statistics.
- Pick a period: 7, 30 or 90 days.
- Open the dashboard's Statistics page for a view across your whole workspace.
- Check the breakdown by country and device below the chart.
What the numbers count
A scan is counted for every actual redirect the code performs. A unique visitor is the same device identified only once per day, even if it scans several times: this keeps the same person scanning repeatedly from artificially inflating your numbers. A code's page shows these totals over 7, 30 or 90 days, with a breakdown by country and device type (mobile, tablet, desktop).
How long the history is kept
The free plan keeps 30 days of detailed history, Starter one year, Pro three years, Business five years. Past that window, the oldest detailed scans are removed, but your aggregated totals stay visible. Your codes, on the other hand, keep working with no scan limit on every plan: nothing is ever cut off for being too successful.
Visitor anonymity
Scanolo never stores a raw IP address. Each visitor is identified by a single-use technical fingerprint, computed for the day, which lets Scanolo tell one unique visitor from another without ever storing anything that could identify them personally.
Frequently asked questions
Why does my statistics page show no data over the last 90 days?
If your code is new or barely scanned, the period simply shows no data for now: statistics appear as soon as the first scan happens.
Can I see the statistics for all my codes in one view?
Yes, the dashboard's Statistics page aggregates scans across your whole workspace over 7, 30 or 90 days, with your most-scanned codes.
